Tecogen Exhibits at AHR Expo 2017, Draws Positive Response From Attendees

Tecogen (TGEN – $3.92), one of the leading manufacturers of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) products, participated in the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo). This is one of Tecogen’s main marketing events of the year, and in fact the largest show of its kind in the United States. It provides a unique forum designed expressly for the HVACR community, allowing professionals to get together to share new products, technologies, and ideas.

Jeff Glick, Tecogen’s Vice President of East Coast Sales, gave a presentation at the event about integrating cogeneration – what Tecogen does – with other renewable and standby power sources. More specifically, the presentation focused on the integration of the InVerde e+, Tecogen’s most advanced CHP system, with solar power and batteries.

When Tecogen launched the InVerde e+ cogeneration module about a year ago, it outpaced all its competitors. And it still does, as some of its striking features include:

  • Solar, battery or other renewable energy input
  • Black-start for Type 10 emergency power supply systems
  • Cloud-based monitoring
  • Superior part load performance
  • No costly gas booster needed

Coming back to the expo, Tecogen’s booth boasted a full scale model of both the InVerde e+ and the Ilios heat pump, another of the Company’s efficient natural-gas powered products. Tecogen’s representatives at the show were very pleased with the number of inquiries that they received from potential clients.

Noteworthy is that this time also many people from Canada stopped by at the booth to find out about the Company’s solutions. Presumably this has to do with the fact that the Canadian Government offers plenty of incentives for natural gas-powered equipment as the country has a lot of natural gas and the government is keen on giving domestic supply a push.

Currently, Tecogen sells its products in Canada through third party dealers who also handle service and maintenance work in the region.

2,000+ Exhibitors Representing Every Segment Of The Industry

The AHR Expo, which started 85 years ago as a heating and ventilation show, has now become an annual HVACR (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) event and is held in major cities across the U.S. The 2017 show, held in Las Vegas, hosted more than 2,000 exhibitors and attracted around 60,000 industry professionals from every state in the United States and 150 countries worldwide.

Over the years, everyone, from major manufacturers to innovative new start-ups, has been present at the AHR Expo. Attendees are given a complete overview of the industry, from complete systems engineered for large commercial and industrial buildings to labor-saving tools and profit-generating services for residential contractors.

Exhibitor innovations also reflect numerous HVACR industry trends, including those associated with burgeoning growth across both residential and commercial construction markets.

“It’s exciting to see such enthusiasm around the rebounding North American building and construction industry, and subsequent growth in demand for the latest evolution of products, technologies and services the HVACR industry has to offer. With this resurgence, a spirit of ingenuity and creativity has flourished among HVACR manufacturers, and we’re pleased to present the venue at which the results of this will be displayed for 2017.” said Clay Stevens, president of International Exposition Company.

Conclusion

The AHR Expo this year put on display 465,000 square feet (that’s 9 football fields) of exhibits from 2,000 companies representing every segment of the HVACR industry. This made the annual trade show a one-of-a-kind opportunity for attendees to find everything that they are looking for in one place.

Tecogen no doubt stands to benefit by taking part in the well-attended show. This was one the major events of the year for Tecogen and based on the number of enquiries that the Company received it’s clear that industry participants and potential customers are paying attention. Consequently, we expect the current year to be another very positive one for Tecogen. Buy recommendation.
