Gatekeeper Systems CEO Doug Dyment Shares Outstanding Growth Opportunities
It’s a pleasure to sit down with Mr. Douglas Dyment, the President and CEO of Gatekeeper Systems (TSXV: GSI – $0.11 & OTC: GKPRF – $0.08 & Frankfurt: 1GK – €0.06). Gatekeeper Systems provides wireless high-resolution video security and safety solutions for in-transit applications, such as school buses, municipal transit, law enforcement and the military.
The Company’s core business of selling onboard high definition recording systems with video management software is expected to grow fast in the coming quarters. At the same it is developing next generation Artificial Intelligence deep learning software to analyze the recorded data. Although first commercial steps have been taken in this area, intelligent software used to manage the data Gatekeeper devices collect is clearly the blue sky opportunity for investors.
Mr. Dyment first touches upon Gatekeeper’s video surveillance division. He provides details on the growth opportunities in this area, and discussed several of the recent contract wins.
A substantial portion of the interview is devoted to what the CEO calls the “real gold of the business”, capitalizing on the collected data. In the State of Georgia, the Company already has five stop-arm violation projects in operation. When the cameras on the school bus record a stop-arm violation, they will automatically send a ticket to the driver. Revenues are shared between Gatekeeper, the school district, and the county. However, this is only the first application. Many more are being developed with strong potential revenue goals.
Mr. Dyment also talks about the Company’s second division called Deep Development Corp, which markets state of the art recording devices for military use. The equipment, for example, is used by the United States Air Force and Boeing Aerospace.
The interview also takes a look at the Company’s growing financials and its outstanding balance sheet with over $4.6 million in cash and no long term debt.
