CEO Erik Siegmund Explains What Makes Preferred Dental Technologies One of the Best Kept Secrets in the Dental Industry
We’re very excited to have Mr. Erik Siegmund, the President & CEO of Preferred Dental Technologies (CSE: PDTI – $0.04 & OTC: PDTTF – $0.03), as our guest today. Preferred Dental is a Canadian developer of various evolutionary and disruptive technologies in the dental implant industry.
The Company has developed a number of revolutionary products that will stun the dental market. With sales reps on the road at this very moment, the timing of this interview and the introduction of Preferred Dental couldn’t have been better.
The Company, for example, is the developer of the Evolutionary Accessory Series (EAS) for dental implants, a family of fully patented abutments, or connecting elements, that go between the anchor that goes into the bone and the actual crown or tooth. There has virtually been no design innovation for the past 30 years to the abutment, causing many issues. Preferred Dental’s EAS system solves all these problems.
With the products cleared for sale by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and a growing market of approximately 500,000 new implant patients annually, it’s clear this is a fantastic opportunity for the Company. According to the American Academy of Implant Dentistry the market is about $4 billion annually in the United States alone.
Next to the United States, a well-known dentist has also started using the EAS system in Brazil, the third largest dental market worldwide. The dentist plans to use a case study of the EAS system, to promote it to his fellow dentists in various groups, while he will also attempt to get the case study published.
Along with the abutment products, Preferred Dental recently launched the PDT Wellness initiative, an organic, full-spectrum pharmaceutical grade CBD product for dental offices. These products are aimed to relieve patients from their pain and anxiety, which are very often on patient’s minds when visiting the dentist.
