Colibri Resource COO Ian McGavney Reveals Company’s Potential in Mexico
We’re very pleased to chat with Mr. Ian McGavney, the Chief Operating Officer of Colibri Resource Corporation (TSX: CBI – $0.04 & OTC: CRUCF – $0.03 & Frankfurt: 2CO1 – €0.01), which is a Canadian mineral exploration company that is actively exploring historical mining districts in Sonora State, Mexico.
The interview first touches upon the merits for Colibri to operate in Mexico. Mr. McGavney explains that Sonora State is responsible for a majority of the gold production in Mexico, while being one the lowest cost areas in the world to explore and produce precious metals.
A substantial portion of the interview is also devoted to the Pilar Gold project, Colibri’s flagship property. Previous work on Pilar has identified several attractive targets. A recently completed 3,000 metres drill program, of which results are expected any day, should bring more clarity about the potential of the areas. The COO furthermore provides details about the exciting plans for Pilar in the next 12 months.
In addition, the history and potential of the Pitaya and Evelyn Gold Properties are discussed in more detail. Finally, Colibri’s management team is introduced, as the executive describes the backgrounds of the Company’s key players.
